I teach my child the correct names for body parts and let her know that sometimes boys fall in love with boys and girls fall in love with girls. She knows more about existentialism and individualism and utilitarianism than any 8 year old in the world. We talk. If more parents would just talk with their children (even their children act like it annoys them) we'd make so much progress.
